The Hamptons premier nature museum, SoFo was founded in 1988 of a group of South Fork naturalists concerned about the future of the area’s ecosystem. SoFo now stimulates interest in, advances knowledge of, and foster appreciation for the natural environment of the area, with special emphasis on the unique natural history of Long Island’s South Fork.. They are hosting their 27th Annual Summer Gala honoring the Patsy and Jeff Tarr family & Anke and Jürgen Friedrich at the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center, to benefit SoFo’s Educational and Environmental Programs & Initiatives.

Authors Night is the year’s leading fundraising event to benefit the East Hampton Library. All proceeds go directly to the Library. Beginning in 2005 with a handful of dinners and a few hundred attendees, it has grown to be the premier literary event of the Hamptons, with over 100 of the most famous authors and a crowd of more than 2,500 people attending. There are now more than 25 exclusive dinners in the evening, each with a number of the authors taking part.

HAYGROUND CHEFS DINNER - HAYGROUND SCHOOL - JULY 26

 

The Chefs Dinner series is the primary fundraiser for Bridgehampton’s own Hayground School and an annual tribute to the late Jeff Salaway, a widely respected and beloved restaurateur and one of the school’s co-founders. Since it’s inception, this event has raised over $1,000,000 for Jeff’s Kitchen and the Jeff Salaway Scholarship Fund. Hayground School's Chefs Dinner is 2015 in honor of famed chef Jonathan Waxman, who was one of the pioneers of California cuisine and is credited with being the first to bring its style - fusing French cooking techniques with the freshest local ingredients - to New York City.

This charity fundraiser celebrates the wine region at the East End of Long Island and benefits local regional charities. It’s hosted this year by TV celebrity Geoffrey Zakarian.

Taking place at the McCall Vineyard and Ranch in Cutchogue, on the North Fork, it will be showcasing the wines of more than 40 East End winemakers, the dishes of 30+ top regional chefs, along with the food craft of local purveyors to an audience that numbers around 1,500 people.
